What the numbers show
ReICO database - R&I talent circulation is currently reported for 38 countries. The highest value is 15,001 in OECD; the lowest is -4,870 in India.
The median across all reporting countries is 7.46, and the mean is 328.22.
The gap between the highest and lowest reporting country is a factor of about 3.
Over the past decade 27 countries rose and 11 fell. The largest increase was in OECD (up 18,244.4%), and the largest decrease in Israel (down 2,966.7%).

About this data
The Research and Innovation Careers Observatory (ReICO) project provides internationally comparable indicators on R&I talent to support evidence-based policymaking and research. This database compiles and analyses information from multiple sources to monitor trends in research and innovation careers, employment conditions, and mobility patterns. The database is distinguished into three themes: R&I Talent development, R&I Labour market and R&I talent circulation. The R&I Talent circulation theme covers indicators for monitoring trends in the mobility of R&I talent across countries. Indicators on other two themes are available in the links below.
