It covers concepts, definitions, classifications of financial instruments and sectors, and accounting rules, and provides a comprehensive analytic framework for monetary and financial planning and policy determination. The Monetary and Finance Statistics: Compilation Guide (2008) provides detailed guidelines for the compilation of monetary and financial statistics in addition to MFSM.
